Sunken Light

"Sunken Light"

Seas rise,
Cities fall, Stone crumbles,
Continents sink, Water recedes,
But the ocean remains,

This is for 'faestock's 'Creative Challenge #12 Doorway [link]
I had been watching this one for awhile and got stuck between-- if I had the time and two persistent ideas to work with. I ended up going with the easier/harder one XD Working with a dark colored themes was not my strong suit and I had previous failing/stressing over. This stock theme/type, isn't my strong suit ether. Thought this would be a great opportunity! I've also never tried this kind of mermaid before! (They probably have sharp teeth.)

I used a little 'artistic license' as there were limited photos of these deep sea fish. 'Adding' glow here and there probably, and some design alterations. Plus... lets face it, it would be pitch black other then a little glowing.

Prismacolor pencils and inks on 7x5 100 LB. Strathmore bristal paper. I used 's stock ([link]) for sunken doorway. Big thank you to Faestock, this have been most fun and educational!
